What is PROLIA®?
A Treatment for Osteoporosis
PROLIA® is a treatment specifically approved for treating osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at high risk for fracture, as well as bone loss in patients receiving certain treatments for cancer. As part of VIP Rheumatology’s comprehensive care approach, PROLIA® provides an FDA-approved treatment that works by targeting RANK Ligand, a protein that plays a critical role in the formation, function, and survival of osteoclasts (cells that break down bone).

Treatment Schedule
If you are prescribed PROLIA®®, your treatment plan will typically include:
- Subcutaneous injections administered once every 6 months (just 2 times per year)
PROLIA® is administered as a 60 mg injection by a VIP healthcare professional, ensuring proper administration and monitoring throughout your treatment journey.
Preparation for Your Comfort
We understand that preparation time before the treatment may vary, and our team is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. There is always at least one healthcare professional available to answer any questions or concerns you may have throughout your treatment.
