Born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Tyris (MD, FACR) graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2010 and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of South Carolina in 2013. In 2015, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Drexel University College of Medicine.
His passion for medicine has led Dr. Tyris to publish research on pseudoseptic arthritis, and he has been involved in numerous projects analyzing disease activity scores for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. A member of the American College of Rheumatology and the American College of Physicians, Dr. Tyris’ knowledge and experience in rheumatology spans a wide range of issues and conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, lupus, osteoporosis, and fibromyalgia. An expert in joint injections, Dr. Tyris has extensive experience using the latest technologies in musculoskeletal ultrasound, and his dedication to patient care has earned him Top Doctor Awards in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Dr Tyris also gives lectures nationwide on the treatment of autoimmune diseases to other physicians.
