LEQVIO® is a groundbreaking treatment specifically approved as an adjunct to diet and maximally tolerated statin therapy for adults with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH) or clinical atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) who require additional lowering of LDL-C. As part of VIP Rheumatology’s comprehensive care approach, LEQVIO® provides an FDA-approved treatment that works by targeting PCSK9, a protein that regulates LDL receptor recycling, through a novel small interfering RNA (siRNA) mechanism.

Treatment Schedule
If you are prescribed LEQVIO®, your treatment plan will typically include:
- Initial treatment: First subcutaneous injection at initial visit
- Second dose: Subcutaneous injection at 3 months
- Maintenance treatment: Subcutaneous injections every 6 months thereafter (just 2 times per year)
LEQVIO® is administered as a 284 mg subcutaneous injection by a VIP healthcare professional, ensuring proper administration and monitoring throughout your treatment journey.
